Very enlightening.
Faas and Hughes talk about Hughes' poetry up to the Crow period, so the title may be a little misleading. This interview is almost like a companion piece to »Ted Hughes and Gaudete«, below.
In addition, Hughes wrote a piece »Poetry and Violence: Two Questions Posed by Ekbert Faas«, in which he goes into more detail. The essay was published in Winter Pollen.
